2650 – 40/39 VICKERS heavy machine-gun – 1915


On single anti-aircraft platform mount, with water cooled recoiling barrel.

This was the only anti-aircraft heavy machine-gun during the 1st WW.

The firing rate was supposed to be 200 shots per minute but, due to problems of the feeding system, in practice the firing rate decreased to 50 shots per minute.
